FORTNITE is DYING!!! R.I.P. (2017-2019)

Yes, you heard right, Fortnite, the game so beloved by all and hated by moms, is finally dying off, and there’s only one person to blame, Call of Duty BO4.

Fortnite all started at around the same time period as now but a year ago but really exploded in December where Ninja became famous and made it too with him. Before all that fame, it was a really good game and to be honest, it still is one, but with all the kids that came to play and with the pay to win there is in the game, it is not that attractive to people anymore.

As a preseason 1 “OG” player that I am, I can say the huge young fan base of the game and the effect they have on it is what’s killing it and the problem is that Epic Games are listening to all that instead of being original and they are the ones who are the most responsible for killing it.

Epic games are money munchers. They search up what kids like and try to make things look all cool and lit and it works, not surprisingly with all those brainwashed kids with their moms credit cards. According to Forbes, Fortnite made $126 million in February, $223 million in March and $296 million in April, all that in a “free to play game” and a “non-pay to win game”. When they see that they are losing clients or attention or even did not make enough money that month, they release a super “OG” skin so people lose their shit and spend money for an in-game currency to get skins…

Epic Games headquarters be like:

Twitch is also a big factor to its plummet. The internet site that allows streamers to sit down all day and broadcast their games live for others to watch them do it and for some reason, they just give away their money to them just like that, I know, I too don’t understand that principle, but somehow it works and they get paid millions. For example: Ninja gets 500k a month at his best and that is insane for someone that plays the same game as millions but we don’t get paid. So what I’m trying to say is that twitch is a connection factor between little ignorant kids with their parents credit cards and a game that was once great.

If you take PUBG, a game similar to Fortnite whereas it is a realistic Battle Royal version of it and not a 3D animated game like fortnite. It was one of the most popular games of 2016-2017, everyone was playing, and it was not free, so no little kids to ruin the game. It was so popular that the genre of Battle Royale became a hit worldwide in the video game industry. Every game tried to copy it but only one made it to the podium, Fortnite. It outclassed it as it was on every console there was and also it was free. After the rise of Fortnite, the fall of PUBG came right after. My point is that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 just came out and it was announced that they would feature the popular game mode Battle Royale in the game. We all know the name Call of Duty and how big of a game it has always been in the past years, so when it was announced, the death of Fortnite was imminent as it had the realistic gameplay of PUBG and the gameplay of Call of Duty and that is a game changer, a FPS (first person shooter) Battle Royal game, contrary to Fortnite, PUBG and H1Z1 which are all TPS (third-person shooter) games.

So we can all get together and watch it die slowly or we can just move on and admire the masterpiece of a game BO4 is and just forget Fortnite even existed.
