Here are my favourite webtoons that I totally recommend (in no particular order)

If you are looking for a casual webtoon to read while riding the bus to school on a Tuesday morning (O.o that’s so specific), then I totally recommend this webcomic. You might find his comics on some social media network but mean people tend to crop out his username and claim the comic as their own. -_- (so mean). Shen, the author and the main character, draws himself sitting in his blue chair (thus, the name) and thinking about random yet relatable stuff about life. For example, he’ll personify Life (a buff dude) and Anxiety (a smol dude) and illustrate how he deals with them. I’ll be lying if I said his comics are simple and lighthearted because in genuinely talks about life in his comics, he’ll make you think and ask question about life. He really makes you sit down in your busy life and makes you ask question about it. He loves to drink tea and recommends us to do so too. So, stop worrying about this stressful life and drink a cup of tea while reading his comic. ^.^

Refund High School
Oki, so my friend strongly recommended this comic and I wasn’t feeling it at first BUT I decided to give it a second shot and… I finished reading all the chapters in one sitting… SO, you might be like me, if you’re not feeling the comic at first, please give it a chance, you won’t regret it, trust this random person on the internet. 😀 This is a story about four teenagers that dies because of one big accident. One is a regular high school student, the other is social media famous and the two others are new singers that recently debuted in a girl group. They feel they died unfairly so they all attend a “Refund High School”. Their goal is to start earning karma and they’ll reincarnate how they want. So, when they graduate, they’ll be reincarnate in their ideal life.

Odd Girl Out
THIS COMIC IS SO FREAKING ADORABLE I JUST CANTTTTT. sorry…
This is a story about four beautiful and innocent girls who start high school for the first time. Each one of the characters have their own story. Nari, the one we usually follow around, used to be a bit chubby back in middle school and didn’t feel pretty about herself. She decides to work hard to lose all her baby fat and become a new version of herself. She even bought a new expensive jacket to show off her hard work. She finds her childhood friend, Yuna at the same high school as her and starts hanging out with her again. But the thing is….Yuna is too beautiful. Not only Yuna but two other beautiful girls tagged along: Seonji and Mirae. So Nari is stuck between these three goddesses, she often compares herself to them and feel like a squid next to them. But these girls went to hardship too, being beautiful doesn’t mean life is easy. As Nari learn their personalities and stories and same goes for the girls, they all build a beautiful friendship that we all envy to have.

Lumine
This was one of the first webtoon I’ve ever read on the webtoon app and I wish I’ve read it sooner. Let me just say, THE STORY, THE CHARACTERS AND THE DRAWINGS ARE AMAZING AND ADORABLE. I CAN’T, IT’S TOO CUTE I WISH I HAD A PUPPY TT~TT. This is a story about Lumine, a werewolf boy (very uncommon) that tries really hard to find a job in this cruel and unusual wold. A world where witches and weredogs (weaker than werewolf) exist. You might judge and think that these witches have a big nose and a hairy mole and the weredogs are these weird and ugly creatures but luckily, they are not… They look normal, like us. So Lumine meets this witch boy, Kody, who can’t do magic (tragic, really). Kody’s father hires Lumine as his son’s bodyguard (I won’t say why cuz I won’t spoil). Kody is a child with trust issues for some reasons (again, i won’t spoil) so Lumine tries all his best to gain Kody’s trust and friendship. True Beauty
Every Wednesday is a happy day for us Webtoon readers because we get a new episode of True Beauty. True Beauty is about a teenage girl who is considered ugly by her classmates. They will mock her saying she’s ugly and would never get a boyfriend. So, like any teenage girl, she resorted to her final option…Makeup. She learns about makeup through a friend of hers who claims to know about makeup when she actually doesn’t (we all have that one friend…If you don’t, then you are that one friend). Her first attempt failed miserably but she didn’t give up, she consistently tried until people couldn’t recognize her anymore, lol. She became a new beautiful girl and no one suspect her of being ugly. She finally made new friends in high school and people are lining up to get her number. Until one day, the new pretty boy at her school recognize her. All of her effort would be crumbling down if anyone knew about her secret.

I have a confession to make, I wrote this on my computer at the last minute because I’m the queen of procrastinating 🙂 but I hope this list help anyone who is new to Webtoon or anyone who don’t know what to do during the long holiday break.
