How to maintain a social life threw social media. Three social media platforms you need to be on if u want to be popular

sampicture

From the birth of the roman empire to the end of the medieval times all anyone has ever wanted is to be climb the so called social pyramid of society by becoming rich or marrying someone of a more prestigious class of people. But in the 21 first century it isn’t about upgrading your social class people are after, it’s about becoming popular. Achieving that goal isn’t an easy task especially when everyone is after the same goal. The key, in our days, is social media. Without mastery of these platforms you are gravely hurting your chances of becoming the most popular kid in school. Let’s take a look at the 3 most important social media web sites you need to use to become popular. The three being Instagram, facebook and snapchat.

Instagram is popular for so many reasons. One being because you can post quality type pictures without needing a professional photographer taking them for you thanks to it’s countless filters. Instagram has a new feature that allows users to post pictures for a certain amount of seconds and time. This feature is called instragram stories, which is originally created by snapchat. Instead of instagram only having to post pictures, users can now use instagram stories to post about their daily activities, which can make them, gain followers and finally popularity.

Snapchat is a necessity to becoming popular thanks to its creative innovations. Snapchat, to begin, is a multimedia messenger app that works with most smartphones. It is used to send quick videos and pictures to friends allowing them to view it only for a certain amount of time. This app can help users become popular by creating relationships with friends through using streaks. Streaks is the number of days you and a friend have exchanged pictures in a row. The longer your streak is, the more you’re familiar with that person. Conversations, using snapchat, develop easier because the conversation only lasts a certain amount of time so no one is worried about being exposed to what they say.

Finally Facebook is the third most important social media platform in order to become popular because on top of messenger, which is used to send each other direct messages, facebook also has an event planning feature where you can organize a get together/party and invite people through facebook. From there you can view who can make it, the address of the location, the time it starts at and details about the specific event. Facebook also has the same feature as instagram and snapchat where users can post a quick “story” about their daily activities. This picture also only lasts for 24h and can help them gain popularity.

In conclusion, to become popular in the 21stcentury you need to learn how to master these three social media platforms because they help you develop relationships, establish your status and create more friendships.

Find out how to avoid cyberstalkers and scammers on the internet

The digital age has made it increasingly easy to share and broadcast personal information on the web. Apps like Instagram¹, Twitter², Facebook³, or Snapchat⁴ allow and even encourage sharing location, phone number or personal email address, which can evidently get you into some trouble. Here are 4 ways you can stay safe on the web.

#1 Avoid posting personal information on your public social media

Though it may be tempting to let everyone know how fantastic your life is, posting hourly location check-ins might not be the smartest move. As well as being hella annoying for everyone else, it can easily lead to becoming the target of a potentially dangerous stalker. Most people probably wouldn’t think twice about posting their personal email address, mobile phone number, or even their real home address, which can cause stalkers to harass or to hack personal accounts. If the hacker is skilled enough, they could even acquire credit card numbers. So, think twice before posting that Snapchat story next time, for everyone’s sake.

#2 Google yourself regularly

Keep your name and identity protected by doing a quick google⁵ search on the Internet to help prevent the spread of false information cyberstalkers might be using you for. This is known as catfishing and it a serious offense. If you ever find photos or personal informations about yourself on a foreign website, you can contact the server administrators and have them taken down immediately.

#3 Use unique passwords for any web account

Stalkers have a number of methods of trying to hack into their victims’ account, and passwords are your first line of defense; the more elaborate they are, the better. There exists many ways to create a strong password, such as using upper and lower case letters and including numbers. Another easier and safer way to creating passwords are random password generators⁶, easily found online for free.

#4 Change your account security information once a year

By doing so, you can insure that if anyone had unfortunately gotten ahold of your personal information, they will lose access to it. However, if you have any suspicion that someone might have infiltrated one of your accounts, change your password immediately. That way, the user will be logged off and will hopefully be unable to log back on.

#5 Seek the help of private investigators

This may seem like a drastic way of dealing with a cyberstalker, but if you feel unsafe or threatened in any way it is better to put a stop to the situation before it causes permanent damage to your or a loved one’s life. Stalking, even virtually, is a serious offense and should always be reported to law enforcement.

FORTNITE is DYING!!! R.I.P. (2017-2019)

By: Jeremy Abudarham

Yes, you heard right, Fortnite, the game so beloved by all and hated by moms, is finally dying off, and there’s only one person to blame, Call of Duty BO4.

Fortnite all started at around the same time period as now but a year ago but really exploded in December where Ninja became famous and made it too with him. Before all that fame, it was a really good game and to be honest, it still is one, but with all the kids that came to play and with the pay to win there is in the game, it is not that attractive to people anymore.

As a preseason 1 “OG” player that I am, I can say the huge young fan base of the game and the effect they have on it is what’s killing it and the problem is that Epic Games are listening to all that instead of being original and they are the ones who are the most responsible for killing it.

Epic games are money munchers. They search up what kids like and try to make things look all cool and lit and it works, not surprisingly with all those brainwashed kids with their moms credit cards. According to Forbes, Fortnite made $126 million in February, $223 million in March and $296 million in April, all that in a “free to play game” and a “non-pay to win game”. When they see that they are losing clients or attention or even did not make enough money that month, they release a super “OG” skin so people lose their shit and spend money for an in-game currency to get skins…

Epic Games headquarters be like:

Twitch is also a big factor to its plummet. The internet site that allows streamers to sit down all day and broadcast their games live for others to watch them do it and for some reason, they just give away their money to them just like that, I know, I too don’t understand that principle, but somehow it works and they get paid millions. For example: Ninja gets 500k a month at his best and that is insane for someone that plays the same game as millions but we don’t get paid. So what I’m trying to say is that twitch is a connection factor between little ignorant kids with their parents credit cards and a game that was once great.

If you take PUBG, a game similar to Fortnite whereas it is a realistic Battle Royal version of it and not a 3D animated game like fortnite. It was one of the most popular games of 2016-2017, everyone was playing, and it was not free, so no little kids to ruin the game. It was so popular that the genre of Battle Royale became a hit worldwide in the video game industry. Every game tried to copy it but only one made it to the podium, Fortnite. It outclassed it as it was on every console there was and also it was free. After the rise of Fortnite, the fall of PUBG came right after. My point is that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 just came out and it was announced that they would feature the popular game mode Battle Royale in the game. We all know the name Call of Duty and how big of a game it has always been in the past years, so when it was announced, the death of Fortnite was imminent as it had the realistic gameplay of PUBG and the gameplay of Call of Duty and that is a game changer, a FPS (first person shooter) Battle Royal game, contrary to Fortnite, PUBG and H1Z1 which are all TPS (third-person shooter) games.

So we can all get together and watch it die slowly or we can just move on and admire the masterpiece of a game BO4 is and just forget Fortnite even existed.

How to be a great stalker on social media

By Lea Dorcy

Picture this situation; you’re in a new class and you see a cute guy in the back of the class. You want to get to know him, but you’re scared to approach him. So here are four tips to find him on social media and figure out what kind of person he is.

Image-1

  1. Find your victim

First, you need to pick a subject. That person will be your main priority because you will need to figure out who they are, what are they pass time, with who they hang out and many more things about them. Your friends might think you’re crazy and that you should go talk to him, but you need to know something about him before you approached them and thanks to social media you can somewhat know who they are before even talking to him.

  1. Go on Facebook

Then, the next thing you will need is his name. If you don’t know his name don’t worry, you will just have to dig deeper and look up some keywords about them. It might be a connection by somebody you know whatever it is. Everybody at some point had a Facebook account even if it’s #ReallyLame. Your victim’s account is probably (80%) still on service and full of #Tb pictures. So the next thing you do and just put the name on the search bar and the good thing with Facebook is that you can see all the post his been tag in so that way you can have a picture of who he is.

  1. Go on Instagram

After being on Facebook and see that he was you need to get into serious business and figure who he is now. On his Facebook you there might be a link to his Instagram account. If not no problem just go on Instagram and type his name, if that doesn’t work try some username with his name in the mix. If it still doesn’t work go on his friend’s Instagram and track him down. When you find the account, you will be able to know who he is now, if he has a girlfriend or not, if he still has the same pastime or friends. Instagram will tell you a lot of #juicy details about him. Worst case scenario is that the account is private, but all you need to do his ask your good friend to follow him so she can send you screenshot of his page.

  1. Don’t forget the comments

While you go through all of his pictures just don’t forget to check the comment section of the picture. This section will give your confirmation on the person you think he is. For example, if he’s not the kind of guy to put his girlfriend on social media but it doesn’t mean that she don’t put him on hers. And also you will know if he’s the kind of guy to flirt around with other girls or if he’s actually a really sweet person. So don’t underestimate the power of the comments section.

So there you have it, I gave you all of my tricks and hope you use them wisely. The most important thing with all of this is to not leave a TRACE. Until then, have a good stalking session!!!!!

SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE FAKE WORLD! 4 FACTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA (YOU WON’T BELIEVE #3!)

1. What do you have to do to be liked?
I have seen that if a girl posts a picture showing more skin and less clothes, she would get more likes. Also, when you show off your body, your curves either real ones or fake ones, you get more likes. You gotta be “hot” to get more followers and likes.

It doesn’t make any sense, nowadays people live for the social media. Making themselves feel they have to change to be accepted in society, not accepting themselves but copying the new boring “beauty”.
2. The real and non-real world.

85F15345-ABDE-49B7-BDCA-2F72445E5ED3

When I look at images of girls in a magazine or social media, especially Instagram, I know that they are altered electronically to appear perfect, to keep up the beauty pattern. Whether this is true or not, they are ultimately used as a standard of comparison. Even knowing it might be all photoshoot I still feel sad or It’s hard to accept myself because beauty nowadays it’s when you are curvy, or very skinny and tall or even both, big lips, long eyelashes, long straight hair and full make up face. It’s a non-real world because not everyone wants to be or is like that. People began to create a fake self, being someone who, sometimes, they don’t really want to but do for the media.
3. The consequences that social media can cause.
Specially for those who are young and are more easily to fall for the “media-beauty”, there is consequences as stopping eating food because being in a normal weight is bad, being a little bit chubby is ugly, or having cellulite here and there it’s not pleasant. Or letting the make-up industry takes over you and not letting you see the truth beauty.
Depression is another consequence that happens, a lot.

4. Online accounts/pages can be part of the problem.

I see every day, with no exception, on my Instagram feed or the most videos/pictures liked in the week and all are from women that are very curvy, women with a lot of make up on. Posts from people that we wish we could be or pictures of something that we wish we were at and have it.
5. Screw social media and be yourself .

4ADCC587-D024-4B85-81AA-AB4273C845BA.jpeg

You know what? Who cares if you are not like “ girls from Instagram “ or like “ Kylie Jenner” or whoever ?! All of them don’t show the truth about their life’s, what if they are not happy too? What If they have any health disturb or aren’t happy as seems and you don’t see? The “ perfection “ in social media, especially on instagram, doesn’t show what happens behind the scenes.
If you think you’re different from all these people who shows what’s “ perfection “ for THEM or for most of the people, don’t be sad or judge yourself, being different it’s awesome! Makes you special from everyone else and that’s what matters, being yourself.

Cathedral

Thao& Richard

2k0e95

As we see the narrator in story Cathedral  is rude, closed minded, arrogant and lack of awareness. He thought that he can “see” better than Robert- a blind man who is coming to visit the narrator and his wife. When they have a conversation about the cathedral on TV, Robert asks the narrator to describe it as much as details for him but language seems to be limitation so he just describes it very vague and Robert helps him to draw it. A little contradict is that Robert- a sightless guy teaches the narrator who can totally see things physically. The irony here that obviously, the narrator can see with his eyes but does not realize that he blocks himself in his own world and just thinks everything in his own way. He lacks a sight into feeling, wondering and the curiosity, opposite to Robert who owns all that. Roberts helps him to see things with feels and connection to imaginary. At the end, he sees Roberts as different perspective.

Bullet in the brain

Thao & Richard

download.png

The story “Bullet in the brain” describes Anders as a rude, crazy guy with boring life and unhappy family but has a huge passion in language. In the bank, he is rude to the bank teller and replies to any people waiting in line as the way he plays words. Suddenly, the bank is robbed. He insults the robber and was shooted in the head. The moment right before he dies, number of memories flashes back to his childhood with baseball. Baseball is a symbol for the theme as he enjoys playing with words. Language is his favourite but also makes him angry as people and books don’t play words the way he want to be so he is rude at everyone. The meme symbolizes for Anders’ reaction in bank rob. The right way to save his life is silent and listen to the robber but he chose the way paradoxically purposely to satisfy his passion in language as well as a peaceful ending to his meaningless life.

Bread

History: This meme doesn’t have much history to it. Someone just decided one day to put a plastic skeleton siting on a bench and thought it would be funny to take a picture. After that he let the internet turn it into a meme and let it become something funny and popular. Beside this could be false the history will go down as a mystery.

Meaning: The meaning if the meme, is that the husband in the story Bread wants desperately to have a child but knows that he might have to wait or try many times until he gets it. That’s why we imagine him waiting on a bench eternally and die waiting for a good and healthy child to have.
