The meme represents Bat Man ordering something to Robin and he does not want to do it. Thus, the Bat Man slaps on his face. We use this picture to present the conflict happening in the story of Hockey Sweater. The mom wanted to buy a hockey shirt to her son, but she made a mistake, she bought the maple leafs t-shirt. Thus, her son was very angry. He didn’t want to wear it on the Hockey game. The boy gets mad at his mother for not buying the right thing. In this meme, Batman represents the mother and Robin is the son. The mother forced her son to wear the shirt she bought even if her son refused, so she slaps him to tell him to do whatever she says. This meme exaggerates the rudeness of the mother face to his son’s opinion

He is sweating because he does not know which one he should press to safe himself. The man can represent the daughter in the story Girl. The daughter is confused about what her mother is telling her to do. In fact, in the story, the mom was contracting herself of telling her daughter to be a good girl, but at the same time, she is teaching her daughter how to make herself desirable so that she can have a better life. As the result, the girl does not know if she has to be desirable or be a good girl and is stressed. She does not know which one would give her a brighter future.

The meme we used for Powder depicts an animated character looking clearly very frustration with it’s arms doing a motion of confusion.We captioned the meme “dad takes me to the bar”on the top of the character and right below him “dad I’m only 12 years old”.In the story it talks about this dad lives an easy open minded life that he sometimes can’t afford  and he tends to make poor decisions.He has one kid and is no longer with his wife.On Christmas eve,the dad decided to take his son on a skiing trip,his former wife was reluctant about it because he once brought his son to a bar when the son was much younger but he eventually persuaded her in allowing her son to go.Once they arrive, they are having a blast but then snow started accumulated so quickly so they prepare themselves to go back home but then on there way,police officer block the road due to the large amount of snow.The dad then tries to find other paths but all of them were blocked so they later on went to this restaurant where the dad makes a fake phone call to the police of an incident happening to clear the road of police officers and it was in that moment the kid saw his dad differently and actually appreciated him.We chose this meme to represent “Powder“ because the kid tends to follow the rules of life and his dad is the complete opposite just like how he tough it would be a good idea to bring his underage son to a bar you can clearly see the frustration the young boy must have felt.

The meme we used for “Girl”show’s Batman slapping Robin across his face with the cation over Robin’s dialogue saying “mom I want to sing Benna”and “don’t think about it slut”overbatmant’s. The story “Girl” is set in “Girl” by Jamaica Antigua where a mom tells her daughter how to act in a proper manner to find herself a good rich husband by telling her what to do and what not to do in their society which tends to have a racist ideology.In this meme the daughter is depicted by Robin who tells her mom who is represented by Batman that she wants to sing Benna but being absolutely against it the mom slaps her daughter across the face and tells her“don’t think about it slut”.

In the Bullet in the Brain, Anders, the main character has this abnormal love for the English language. He loves playing with words. So when the burglar said “Capiche”, which is the cliché of English literature, he went to provoke the burglar because he can’t stop the urge. The memetic shows SpongeBob with a teasing face, which was similar to Anders’ face towards the burglar.

History: This meme originated from the music video Hotline Bling from Drake. This meme starts from the top. Drake doesn’t like what’s he’s seeing at first. Then the second part drakes sees something he likes and expresses it. 

Meaning: We chose this meme because while Andres was at the bank he was confronted by the Robber. The Robber consistanly getting annoyed and angry by Andre’s actions the Robber shoots Anders in the head. This shows us that Anders was looking to kill himself but without doing it intentionally instead of living, we think he was suicidal.

The skeleton in this meme represents the girl waiting for her mother to stop giving her orders. The girl is a confused teenager as to what is expected of her from her mother and from the society she lives in. The mother raised her daughter the same way her mother raised her. Technically speaking, we mean that she wants the best for her child, ordering her to do what she expects and what not to do to marry up a class and to live a more comfortable life. We sense a conflict between the mom and society’s expectations. There’s also conflict between the mother and herself as she contradicts herself. She shows her daughter that it’s important to look clean and educated, but she also teaches her how to spit, which is a non-classy thing to do. There is a conflict between the daughter and her mother because the girl doesn’t really agree with the mother. When her mother tells her not to sing benna in Sunday school and on Sundays, the daughter replies by saying she never sings benna. Her not agreeing with her mother implies that she wants her mother to stop talking. Therefore, the mother goes on and on about how to go up a class because she has many topics to cover up, meaning that she’s never going to stop talking.
